Oil and Water Lubricated Line Shaft Pumps
Line Shaft pumps generally have a vertical shaft electric motor that's located above the wellhead. It's separate from the pump, which can be up to 2,000 feet below the ground surface, and connected by a line shaft (We drill up to 1,600 feet). Due to this, line shafts are relatively quiet, with only the hum of controllers and transformers audible.
Oil lubricated shafts are covered shafts that can protect against material in the environment. Water lubricated shafts can be superior for residential and agricultural uses due to being free of oil.
Submersible pumps are contained as complete, compact units installed in the liquid to be pumped. Submersible pumps operate at a higher RPM than line shaft pumps due to the force being transferred over less distance. Due to their contained construction, this type of motor requires less maintenance than line shaft pumps.
If your pump is losing pressure before it gets water to its destination, consider a booster pump. Booster pumps are generally centrifugal pumps and they increase low water psi by feeding pump-boosted water pressure to the line. Often, a single impeller is enough to account for residential needs, but more can be used for more niche purposes.
We supply multiple drive types, including right angle gear driven boxes and electrical units.
